the bunnies in their new space!

big fluff kisses

it’s really pointless to unpack my things now, since i’ll be moving in a month. oh well, it’s good to get myself organized and figure out what i really need and what i don’t. this is barely half of my bunny/unicorn/cute animal collection, but they are some of my favorites.

this picture makes them look small haha

she was licking my arm.

omg you are not supposed to give bunnies baths. they clean themselves like cats. if they smell bad you’re doing something wrong or the bunny is sick.

it pisses me off that there are so many photos of people giving their bunnies baths. one time i gave my first rabbit a bath (really meant to cool him off because it was so hot) just using a water squirter, and it resulted in a hairball (which blocks their digestive system and you have to get rid of it by feeding them things to break it apart, like dandelion leaves and pineapple juice. hairballs can kill rabbits).

why not to give your bunny a bath (from wikianswers or something):
  • You can upset and stress her, causing her to panic and injure herself or go into shock
  • Soaps and shampoos can irritate her skin, leading to infection
  • Water in the ears can lead to infection
  • The fur will take a long time to dry, which could lead to hypothermia in cold/windy weather
  • You can burn her skin with a hair dryer

my brother’s friend saw me today and gave me this shirt as a late christmas present! a bunny skeleton glows in the dark!!! it’s so sick

please appreciate the natural extra skin rex’s have. considering they are bred for meat and fur, extra skin makes sense. her boob area is called a dewlap. girl bunnies have them for extra warmth/protein/fur for the nests for when they have babies! i do not know lapo’s life before finding her way into my backyard, but i’m pretty sure she’s had babies before.
